College Credit Agreement

Beginning in September 2009, a dual enrollment program offered through Suffolk Community College will be available to Pierson juniors and seniors.  Program highlights include:

• Qualified students earn college credit prior to high school graduation.

• The time to complete a college degree is shortened.

• College courses are taken on the high school campus during school hours.

• Tuition rate is roughly 1/3 of the standard rate. A typical 3 credit tuition fee is normally $423 plus fees. Pierson students will only pay $150 for 3 credits.

• Credits earned with a reported grade of "C" or better are accepted by many colleges and universities throughout the country, with general acceptance within SUNY community colleges and institutions.

• Over 30 credits of coursework will be available for Pierson students. It is thus possible for students to pay $1500 for 30 credits.
